Hope Dropp is an assistant professor in Environmental Safety Management at Thiel College. She joined Thiel this year after teaching the last ten years in Safety Management at Slippery Rock University. She is a proven Safety & Environmental Manager with almost 20 years of industry experience. She spent most of her career working in the steel industry in many different capacities as well as teaching and training. She has worked for start up companies through multinational organizations. Ms. Dropp is an authorized instructor for OSHA 10- and 30-hour for both General Industry and Construction. She is a member of ASSP. She serves as an ASSP Student Advisor. She has taught many courses in the field of Environmental Safety Management including Managment, Training, Industrial Hygiene, Construction, General Industry, Security, Hazard Awareness, other essential topics, and lab courses.
Ms. Dropp has an undergraduate degree in Safety & Environmental Management from Slippery Rock University and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College. She is currently working towards completing a doctorate in Management of Organizational Leadership. Her areas of interests, include safety leadership, safety training and education, working in a male dominated profession.
